What Is A Keyword?
What is a keyword? A keyword is a phrase or sentence that someone types into google when they are looking for a particular item.
For Example: If I am looking for a book on how to do SEO, then I may type into google, Where Can I Find A Good Book On SEO?
In this case "Where Can I Find A Good Book On SEO" would be considered my keyword
If I am looking for a good blender for my kitchen and I type into google, Where Can I Find A Good Blender For Cheap?
Here " Where Can I Find A Good Blender For Cheap" would be considered my keyword.
Having a keyword tool will help you find some amazing keywords that you can rank your online business for in google
No matter your niche or business, there are literally millions of niches online and billions of keywords. Many keywords have very little competition, but you will not know this without a good keyword research tool.
One of the keyword tools that we use at Best SEO Class.COM is called Jaaxy. It is a very powerful keyword research tool and has many features.
See what happens is many new websites try to rank for very competitive keywords and they end up not ranking at all. With a good keyword research tool you can find what is called low hanging fruit.
These are keywords that don't get as much traffic as popular keywords, but they will help you to start getting traffic to your site.
I can try to rank my website for a keyword that gets 2,000 searches a month, but the odds are if I am a new site, I probably will not rank for this keyword because I haven't built credibility with google yet.
Now on the other hand I can try to rank for a keyword that only gets 200 searches a month and I will have a better chance. Even though I may not get as much traffic from this keyword, it is better thank getting no traffic at all.
Plus if I can rank for 5 or 10 low hanging fruit keywords that get 200 to 300 searches a month, when you add all these up my site has the chance to rank for keywords that total 1,000 to 3,000 searches a month.
Too many times those that are barely starting out in SEO try to rank for highly competitive keywords and they end up not ranking at all.
The best thing to do is find keywords that don't get a lot of traffic and try to rank your blog or website for these keywords.
Which are the best SEO Tools for a Beginner?
Well let me start off by saying in order to rank your blog or website in the google search engines, you are going to need a keyword research tool. You can perform the process without a keyword research, but it is tedious and you will be missing out on valuable data.
What a keyword research will is, it will tell you how many people search for that specific keyword. It will tell how much traffic you can expect to get on your website if you rank on the first page of google for that specific keyword.
It will tell you exactly how many other websites are ranking in the search engine for that specific keyword.
It will also tell you the SEO score of that specific keyword.
This is very valuable data when determining if a specific keyword is even worth trying to rank for.
Yes there are some free tools that you can use to do keyword research, but like I said earlier you will be missing out on some valuable.

When it comes to ranking my site for keywords, I usually stick to one. Some people try and rank for more, but I have find that ranking for one keyword is a better way to go for me.
Now here is something that you should keep in mind. When you try and rank for only 1 keyword, sometimes google will rank you for more than one keyword.

How do I find the best keywords for SEO?
Like I mentioned earlier the best way to find valuable keywords is to do keyword research.
Keyword research is one of the most important parts to doing SEO. The reason keyword research is an important part of SEO is to get traffic from the search engines you need to know what people are actually searching for in the search engines.
Then once you find out what people are actually searching for the challenge is to produce content based on that keyword.
If you produce content on your website or blog without doing proper keyword research, then the chances of you getting any traffic to your blog or website is very low.
If you want to be effective in doing SEO you want to learn how to do proper keyword research and you will be well on your way to outranking competition in the google search engines
You can get started with your keyword research today by watching the video I have added to this blog and by signing up for Jaaxy, which will give you 30 free keyword searches.
Here is an important point:
In doing keyword research, it is important to know that competitiveness of that keyword.
If your website is new and you try to rank for high traffic keywords, you will not, because your site is new and doesn't have any authority in google.
When you are starting out in SEO and trying to rank your blog or website, you don't want to rank for competitive keywords. You want to rank for what seo experts call low hanging fruit.
These are less competitive keywords. They may not get you as much traffic, but they are an excellent place to start.
